CCWeekly #86 - Top 5 Game OST

Post by CartridgeBrosP1 » Mon Mar 12, 2018 9:06 am

We talk game OST’s to open the show this week and narrowing it down to our top 5 is way too hard. P2 is frustrated about someone backing into their driveway on a snowy night and the window is open!

We tackle the Nintendo Direct and how it has one of us extremely hyped. Lastly the show rolls into some answers and we realize that our miss had been janked up the whole show, sorry about that.

P1, glad to hear you're giving Bastion a try!

I'm looking forward to finally trying out Sea of Thieves when it releases. I even bought the beautiful Sea of thieves controller.

Mark, I hate having to stop going uphill in the snow. I would have been equally upset by the guy who felt compelled to back into his driveway with traffic behind him. Very rude. Would have only taken a few seconds to wait for traffic to clear than he could do what he wanted. Also, I don't get the obsession with pulling through parking spaces. Are we so inept at driving in reverse that nobody can back out of a parking spot anymore? I get to work at 7am and see nothing but people who have pulled through a parking spot. Now the real problem is that tons of times they haven't pulled through enough and either their rear bumper or their massive trailer hitch is actually taking up space in the parking lot behind them, great, now you've effectively ruined another person's ability to park because of your obsession with not having to drive in reverse. AHHHHHHHH.

What I really like about the Doom OST is that in mid-battle it is really heavy metal music. It makes it very intense and fun. But as soon as you finish the battle and kill the last guy in the swarm, especially in a level on Hell, the music immediately shifts to something opera-like and euphoric and you feel the most amazing sense of relief and accomplishment. I can't think of many other games that really have that sense of transitioning you into the post-victory recovery like Doom. Sean, the Switch version is entirely playable and fun in handheld mode, but I will acknowledge it's not the optimum experience.

I'm down for some underground FF VI. I'll play it on my SNES Classic! Every time I hear talk about playing PSOneClassic games on the Vita I look to see if I have an extra $150 hiding in my sock drawer. Sadly no.

People taking up more than one parking spot for any reason drives me crazy ><

The hospital where I work charges $14.50 a day to park whether you're visiting a patient or an employee so finding parking on the street is a must. So when I see someone parked in between two spots I get pretty upset. I've seen strangers argue over it lol
