Red Dead Redemption 2

Post by Round2Gaming » Fri Feb 02, 2018 12:38 am

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world also provides the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

It's no surprise that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed yet again. This time though, Rockstar has announced a specific release date of October 26. Sounds like a statement on Rockstar Newswire said:

"We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks."

It's the usual spiel, and kind of a bummer, but even so - watching the trailer on repeat should be enough to drool over for the next little bit. How excited are you guys for Red Dead Redemption 2?

When there's a delay, always have this quote in mind --

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." - Shigeru Miyamoto

... I know that Rockstar is all about quality. There hasn't been a game of theirs that's disappointed me. I know it'll be excellent, if it isn't I would actually be very surprised. Only time will tell tho

The game looks well made as usual, but I'm still not sure. I have never gotten heavily invested in Rockstar's games. I usually just mess around for a little bit and then stop playing in their open worlds.

I assume there will be an online component in some capacity. Who is getting this and on which platform?

I'll most likely go Playstation since I will have a pro by then and they have exclusive content

I'm on the fence - just let my XBLGold lapse because I just don't have MP games to play on the system right now (and most of the GWG are on GamePass if I ever needed to turn that back on to access them). But I also don't see an abundance of club peeps on PS4 that much either, so I may have a tough decision here in the next 2 months.
