For the month of November we decided to go with something a little more light-hearted coming off of the dark journey to Silent Hill, so the game we came up with is Super Mario RPG! This was actually the first game I purchased I with my own money back when and remember getting more than my moneys worth. Nintendo and Square is a recipe for amazement! Join in on the fun and post about your experience through the game this month and any memories you have from it in the past :)

Great choice guys! Having tons o' fun with this one already. Just made it to Tadpole Pond, and am looking forward to getting to the Forest Maze soon. I figure 2 stars a week will keep me on track.

It's amazing how many little things I'm noticing this time around, especially with the character designs. For example, I always thought "Mack" was just a small sword as a kid, and never noticed that there's actually a guy on top of him bouncing around. Also, never noticed that Belome has 4 eyes.

Anybody else start the game yet?

Game arrived today and I'm about to dive in, after reading this I'm really looking forward to picking up on those things because i'm sure I missed a lot too, it's been so long!

I'll check back in with some updates once I get to a point of note, can't wait!

Just got Mallow into the group, having a blast already. I had forgotten about how Mario explains the story to people as the game goes on, so very entertaining : p

This game has me taking notes with a pen and paper! Can’t remember the last time I did that. I had to make sure I conducted those tadpoles right. It is blowing my mind that Square made this game for Nintendo. I got the third star the other day. So glad I'm finally playing this!

Happy to hear you're liking it Mars! I just got my first star piece, I had forgotten so much, I was shocked when I got back to the Mushroom Kingdom lol. Square and Nintendo certainly made a great duo here. I had also forgotten how amazing the soundtrack was, loving it so far!

What a blast of nostalgia this past week. Totally see what you mean Mars, I'm writing stuff down too, haha!

Are you guys going for the 100% mark with all the hidden treasure chests, frog coin items, etc...? I'm gonna give it a shot - but think I'll have to speed up the pace a little bit. I'm just at Booster Tower, so still 4 stars to go.

Forgot how many other Nintendo references were hidden in the game! Samus, Link, Captain Falcon, Donkey Kong, Star Fox...man this game is awesome!

I'm giving it a pretty good go, but i'm not sure if i'll be able to do completely 100%, but i am certainly trying to get as many Flower points as I can, so rewarding to find some.

I've just finished Booster tower myself but I haven't found references to Link, Star Fox or Captain Falcon, I must have missed them, please tell me how to find them! I love the humour and references, such a great game :p

Did anyone else find the 8-bit Mario easter egg? Booster Tower, right before the "oldest picture" puzzle, behind a curtain. Stumbled on it by accident.

Dean, where is the Samus easter egg? Me Metroid fan. Need to find.

I'm guessing I'm the only person here who's just playing this for the first time, huh?

I don't have any personal connection to this game, so I guess you could say I'm looking at it without any sort of nostalgia (aside from my nostalgia for Mario and old school 16-bit RPG's), so I am noticing a few minor flaws here and there, but aside from a few nitpicks, I'm very impressed with the game. It's simple, it's very easy to figure out, it's fun, it's cute and charming, and it's just awesome so far.
