The 60th episode of Polykill sees Jake and Trav welcome long time listener Diego (@ALatinoLawyer) to the show to talk about all the games they beat or something. He's a cool guy, much cooler than the other two idjits on the shot. You should probably listen to this one.

Diego, if you did this show by just doing using your phone, it turned out awesome.

You mentioned getting knock off shoes, while your friends had Reebok Pumps. I’m right there with you. I had to rock McGregors, and Payless Knockoff pumps, because there was no way my mom was paying for brand name shoes.

NHLPA 93 > NHL 94

Last year for blood, fighting, and scoring a stupid amount of points in a hockey game.

Yes, Guardians Telltale season 1 is finished

Great show guys.

I loved hearing Diego alongside you two! The more Diego podcasts, the better, if you ask me

Thanks Ryan, I appreciate the kind words. Yeah man, I totally remember when the Rebook Pumps came out and everyone got the basketball version of the shoes. My mom got me Payless knock off shoes for that. I never let her know I was embarrassed or got teased at school, I know she sacrificed to get me those things (because I had already gotten my "school" sneakers that year).

I loved NHLPA 93. I thought one timers were too cheap in 94, so the wrap around moves and slide in front of goal moves actually took a little skill and not every player was capable of doing it. Also the fighting was great - I had the SNES version so no blood for me :(

It was great to hear Diego on the podcast and I enjoyed the talk of AA games.

First, congratulations Diego and family!

Second, I believe I'm pretty firmly entrenched as a "AA games" type gamer. I rarely (though not never) buy games at launch and often wait weeks or months before pulling the trigger. (I could probably augment my spreadsheet with release dates for games and then get an accurate measure of my average waiting time before buying new games, but I probably won't). Waiting to buy games has a number of advantages both in terms of cost, but also in terms of getting a better experience via bug fixes and bundled DLC (e.g. GOTY editions). The disadvantage, of course, is you don't get to enjoy the hype surrounding a game immediately after its launch (Breath of the Wild was particularly difficult not to be a part of.) However, the advantages are long-term whereas the disadvantages are short-lived. That's probably why I ended up a AA gamer.
